Hi, when using AR/Basic Occlusion for the environment, the occlusion also swallows up the shadow from VisionOSGroundingShadow. How can I implement environment occlusion while keeping the shadow effect?
Great question – I would love to know what the recommended approach for this should be.
There is an option to receive shadows in on occlusion materials in RealityKit, but it does not appear to be supported by visionOS. Similarly, there’s a shader graph surface shader that should allow this, but when we’ve tried to use it, it has simply generated an error message. I would suggest reporting your desire for this feature to Apple via their Feedback Assistant. I’ll try to remember to do so as well, since this has come up before.
