Press Release: animstreet becomes the first market place for motion capture clips!

August 22, 2011 - Martigny, Switzerland

Animstreet is the newborn web service developed by Moka Studio, a start-up established in Martigny, Switzerland. Animstreet is already the first market place for motion capture clips available on the Internet and is still growing. Thanks to animstreet, you can now easily and quickly search, organize and share motion capture clips.

In January of 2011, animstreet was launched in private beta release. Due to the expanding number of requests, it was publicly released in February 2011. Today, animstreet contains more than 5300 motion capture clips. Most of them are freely available for users to play with.

Animstreet is a collaborative web service which gives the possibility to any motion capture provider to add his own motion capture clips and share them with the community. Each uploaded motion capture clip is automatically processed to generate associated 2D and 3D previews: sellers now have a great way to convince end-users their motion capture clips are the best. End-users now have a simple way to ensure that those data best fit their needs. Thanks to its real-time search engine and its list system, it is extremely easy and fast to browse the animstreet motion capture database and quickly find the motion capture clips needed.

Animstreet is the best place for professionals and hobbyists to find motion capture clips at a reasonable price. It is simple and easy to use for motion capture sellers and end-users. For those reasons, it has rapidly become the biggest motion capture database online, with 600+ users and more than 10’000 downloads so far.

Animstreet is growing fast thanks to its users. In order to accelerate its development, animstreet is constantly looking for new commercial partnerships.

I dont see Unity3D mentioned … where exactly are these to be found in the Asset Store !!!

smells like … SPAM !

bah.

Moderator please remove the topic and ban him

Hello,

this is not spam, I’m sorry if this was posted to the wrong forum. As it is related to animation assets, I thought it could be posted here.

Sorry for the confusion and please let me know where I could post this news as I think a lot of people could be interested to have a place to preview motion capture clips and download a lot for free for their unity projects.

Kind regards
Animstreet

This section is called “Assets AND Assetstore”.

There is no need to have the “Assets” you promote to be in the “Assetstore” !

@animstreet: This is the right place to showcase your products. Thanks for that, usefull stuff.

@ Phex: Thanks a lot for the clarification

Having worked in the industry a few years I’m pretty sure you’re not the first online site to offer motion capture for a price. I accept you need some flair in your wording, but not if it’s blatantly incorrect.

Hi,

animstreet is a market place where anybody can share/sell his own motion capture clips. Also, with more than 5300 motion capture clips (1000’s are FREE), we believe we are the first market place online. However, if you do believe that our statements are incorrect, please let us know and we will adjust them as soon as possible.

Thanks all for your feedback.

Well, for a start there’s Mixamo

Still, the more the merrier!

Mixamo isn’t mocap, is it ?

I thought they were procedurals.

@runonthespot, zomby138: as fas as I know, Mixamo is using mocap to provide animation services. Animstreet is more a market place for motion capture clips.

I remember reading about motion cap in a 3D world mag, so i started to look for it and found it: 3D world mag nr135 takes up about Mocap and they talk about www.animeeple.com, where you can buy motion caption for your 3D models and so on.

When reading thier “about us” page on thier website i found this: Okan Arikan started Animeeple with Leslie Ikemoto in 2008

Hm so dont know about being first…

but hey i dont want to put down your company, it still sounds good with motion caption store
