Pressure Sensitive Keyboards

I’d love one of those. I bought a mechanical keyboard so I could press lots of keys at once, but having one of those would be another step up.

Didn’t work for PS2 or PS3 controllers, I can see the applications for it, but will it catch on with the public?
I say yes, with enough marketing!

Finally, smashing the keys will make it shoot more.

“Great, Windows could measure your level of distress judging by how hard you press Ctrl+Alt+Del.”

top comment on the page, and I agree!!

It worked fine for the PS2 and PS3 but there’s functionally no use for this in keyboards.

By “didn’t work”, I mean it wasn’t really used by developers. Only MGS actually used it, and that’s it. This might become a big thing, but I don’t know.

The total output of the key smash should be directly linked to the processor overclocking.

Most racing games used it, a lot of games that do “tap to do action” use it to help smooth out the tapping values. It’s actually used quite a bit, just in the background to better facilitate input.

I never noticed the difference from input on a NES to PS1 gamepad(no pressure sensitivity) to PS2(pressure sensitivity) before. Also, I meant the face buttons, not the trigger sensitivity that’s used for racing games as well as others.

The face buttons are used for a lot of racing games. Almost all racing games contain a “X = accelerate” option. Just because you don’t notice something doesn’t mean it’s an unused feature.
