I guess this is intended given the newly invented rules for package versioning/naming/visibility in the 2021 cycle. Just coming from a 2020 LTS period, and was surprised to not see the Device Simulator package for example in the package manager’s list…
Same problem. I am looking for XR interaction toolkit. When opening an older project that had it already installed, package manager (In project) showed that there was an update available, but when starting a new project unity registry doesn’t show any Pre-release packages (Enable Pre-release packages is checked).
Anyone have a solution?
Ok, a little more google solved this. In Unity 2021.2 you have to add the package by name. For XR interaction toolkit:
