Am I the only one seeing this in 5.6.0p4? The preview window is hugely bugged it leaves trails whenever you move/animate the object in the window. Not much of a preview.
Same here. I just updated to 5.6.1f1 from 5.5 and the preview is unusable. Also, when the preview window is part of the Inspector and not its single window, pressing the play button closes down the window as if you were clicking on the top edge. I’ll say half of that area registers as if you press the top edge.
As a side note, I wish the preview camera would not be constrained to the character’s root (at least give the option to turn that off.) Is very hard to review the animation this way.
@Aitortxo I actually reverted to 5.6.0p3 which doesn’t have these issues. I couldn’t preview any animations because of the terrible trails. I also noticed about 80fps loss when I updated to p4 in editor. Not sure if it would have appeared at runtime, but with that much of an fps loss - I wasn’t having it. 5.6.0p3 works pretty well, there is only an annoying problem I’m finding with updating scripts with animator window open will sometimes make animator uneditable until you reopen Unity. Annoying but not game killing.
I get the same issue in 5.6.1f1.
@JRRReynolds , thanks! Yeah, the only way to keep working is roll back. My coworkers are having lots of crashes and blue screens…
fyi this is fixed (trails in preview window) in 5.6.1p1. Also 5.6.1p1 framerate in editor, for me at least, is same as 5.6.0p3 and doesn’t suffer the framerate loss I experienced in 5.6.0p4
Dumb question alert:
5.6.1p1 is only for profesional/paid license installation? Where (inside the oficial site) can I find this installation?
In the personal/free tab I can only down load 5.6.1f1…
I guess is only matter of time until they fix the Preview Issue. But hell, it’s driving me crazy… good timing just when I started to import all my Blender crap into Unity. blaargh~
it’s under patch releases, I’m not sure if it requires a professional license or not though.
Nope. I use Unity plus and they work fine. Using 5.6.1p4
