PRISM.Sharpen uses a modern photography-based algorithm to increase the perceptual resolution of textures in your game.
Used in PRISM since 2.0, the core of PRISM.Sharpen separates the most popular effect of the PRISM package into a standalone, and adds new “Photographic” style sharpening options.
If you’ve ever had someone comment on your game’s textures looking ‘low res’, or are generally unhappy with how blurry your textures are, PRISM.Sharpen is the solution.
PRISM.Sharpen has been resubmitted to the asset store - first one got declined for not having a demo scene, which is a new thing to me - but have now included a nice small bloat-free demo scene that shows off the sharpening capabilities nicely, and resubmitted. Heres to hoping it won’t take as long!
Got a great update coming up with a feature that anyone who uses grass and deferred rendering with PRISM.Sharpen will really enjoy. Basically, it’s a super cheap depth test that really helps reduce shimmering on super thin bits of grass.
