I apologize to the 80, lol, who has PM’ed me after the forum upgrade, but how can you expect someone to notice that tiny number? 
Is there a way to make it more visible? Or perhaps email notification? Didn’t we have that with the old forum?
Yes, email notification works. (Usually.) Turn it on in your general settings.

I skimmed through the settings and thought it was enabled, but there was a seperate setting for PM’s. Also interested in seeing what the popup notification does.

Stopped working for me yesterday. Seems to be a chronic problem for some of us (well, for me at least).
80 was apparently all the PM’s in my inbox, so don’t feel sad, Frank. Only 5 of them were new.
For some reason they were all marked as unread.
Lucky me as I would have felt like I had to answer all of them.
My notifications have been broke for a while now, I blame modern technology.
I also don’t like that you:
a) have to specify that you want a copy of your private messages saved to your sent messages now.
b) can’t add attachments to private messages anymore.
Hey Zumwalt, I wonder if you’re having the same problem I am. Email notifications seem to break about once a week and lasts 2-4 days. Then suddenly (and randomly) works again for another 2-4 days. Is that what’s happening to you?
I’ve experienced my e-mail notifications doing this, suddenly I notice the lack of Unity updates and manually check the forums to find out they have stopped sending through only to have them start working again =S
