private var Cycle;
private var Count;
private var baseHeight : Vector3[ ];
but only baseHeight shows up in the debug Inspector.
A. What do I do to show the other two?
B. I need numbers like baseHeight*.x How do I get those?* C. Is there a way to step into so that I can see the values at each line. D. I was told Unity 3 has a full editor which I assume makes this easier but will it only be available for Pro?
A. Remove the private prefix to see them in the Inspector (but what do you means, debug Inspector ?).
B. Like you wrote ! baseHeight is a builtIn list, you access one component by specifying its index . It returns you its content, and from there, you can retrieve its x value .x C. for (var i : int = 0; i < baseHeight.length; i++) or for (var i : Vector3 in baseHeight) D. I don’t know Note : try always adding the type of a variable when you declare it, like you did for baseHeight. It helps speeding up the process and calculation.
I appreciate the help but what I mean is I’m trying to debug the script so I switched Inspector to debug mode. In theory every private variable should be shown along w/ their values but only baseHeight shows. I’ll try to declare the variable and see if that works.
As for question B what I mean is how do I get them to show up in the Inspector tab.
On C. I’m wondering can I step into each line, ie. press a button like F3 (I’m just using F3 as an example) and the code calculates the next line so if I have code like this…
Mojo=4;
Mojo=5;
Mojo=6;
I can then press F3 and on the Inspector tab it will show that Mojo has a value of 4. Then I hit F3 again and now I can see the value has changed to 5.
I hope that clears up what I’m getting at. I’ve been told I’m not very good at explaining what I mean.
