probelm with sound radius

hey guys. im trying to get lower the radius of sounds that im placing in various locations spread through a 2d sidescroller. Ive been playing with the min and max lvl of the sound and the rollof factor but the sound always travels to far or I cant hear it at all...

anyone know how this can be fixed ?


Perhaps you have the scale in your scene out of whack. From my experience, the sound rolloff effect works at a realistic level when you are using a scale of 1 unit = 1 meter.

For a 2D side scroller though, it may not make sense to have sound effect volumes diminishing with distance at all. Instead, you might want to play all sound effects through an AudioSource (or multiple audiosources) attached to the camera - so that they all play at full volume.
