Problem About Events in Animation Clips

hello everybody.

i have a question about the event part in FBX Import settings/Animations (bottom of all settings)

when i open this menu (events menu),I can add an event to the clip.
but i cant understand what’s the Function field meaning. i have not found any document about it so. please guide me.

and excuse me for my bad english and again excuse me if i am a noob.

I found that you have to click on the Curves item just above the Events item, then you can add events.
I suspect it is in effect selecting a ‘default’ curve of the animation???
