problem in importing a .fbx model from MAX to UNITY Iphone

Hi,
I am importing a a 3d model from MAX to unity iphone but the triangles and vertices are becoming 3times.

I have taken a box in MAX and then triangulate it …there the triangle count is 12 …after importing the model into unity iphone the the triangle becoming 32 and veritces are 24.

i dont no what is happening. somebody plzz help?

24 vertices make sense - UVs are not shared (they are different) between quads, so you get: 6quads * 4verticesPerQuad = 24.

I have no idea where 32 triangle count comes from. Are you sure about that? I would expect 12 triangles.
