problem loading webplayer on safari.

Hello everyone there,

i m having one problem loading web player in safari. If same webplayer i open with Firefox, opera, google chrome and camino its work fine for me. I also googled for it and done some experiments as people suggested on forum but no luck (e.g remove webplayer from internet plugin folder, reinstall it. In safari property i checked open with 32 bit). I have Mac lion 10.7.3 os with 5.1.3 safari version. If anybody having any idea or may be faced same problem like me then please tell me how to solve it.

Thanks in advance

Bump…

What’s actually happening? Is the plugin crashing when starting up or is the plugin not even loaded by Safari?

First of all sorry for my bad english.

Thank you very much for taking interest in my strange problem.

Actually Plugin not loaded by Safari. I tell you in detail. I have two users on my mac. When i run with admin account web player cannot open in safari. On Firefox, chrome its just works fine. If same web player i open with another account its work like a charm.

Another problem is with Admin account i cant able to open Unity and any .app made with unity. If i open Unix executable file from package contents/MacOS then all .apps work fine. So i am also looking for same solution.

Waiting for solution.

bump…

Still looking for solution?

Sorry i m having trouble with upload these images so i put those images on my dropbox.

image of link two i took from root account same web player not working in root.

I also mailed to support@unity3d.com and bug@unity3d.com. Not getting any answer.

Very Frustating for me.

can anyone help for this strange problem?

When you e-mailed support you should have got an auto-response e-mail with a case number, could you post this number so that I can track it, also include your bug number. Unity support can take up to 5 days to respond to a case. For a bug report you may not get a response unless they need more information from you.

@Aurore

Thank you very much for quick reply

Here is my case Number : Case #00114140:

and here is my Bug Number: 512441

I can see that you submitted both cases yesterday, as I mentioned support cases can take up to 5 days to be answered but I can try and ping someone with webplayer know how for you to see if there is a simple solution.

Couldn’t reproduce the problem here (but I’m not quite on the same setup, so that doesn’t mean much). From the sound of it, it’d appear to be an installation issue where something isn’t there under the admin account.

Btw, by “run with admin account”, you mean running it under a normal user account that has admin privileges, right?

Good you filed a ticket.

@Rene Damm,

Thank you very much,

I also posted two images taken from two different user works fine with normal user and not working with root users. Now i have no clue what to i m totally rely on you guys.

On window machines we never face any problem like this. Even i m also ready if someone wants my teamviewer (remote desktop) then we also ready for that.

I am not talking only about web player. We have also problem to run Unity editor, any .app made with unity in that particular root (admin) user.

@Aurore,

I know that unity support team take up to 5 days for answer but we are facing this problem since we started developing on mac. I also posted same question before 5 months back and didnt get any answer. Now its little beat urgent for us thats why i bump for every 2 hours.
