basically the button to add animation clips is like grey, cant click it, had this problem before last time, had to delete old animation clips and redo all of them again. facing the same problem now, do not wish to delete all animation clips again. help pls

2Hello @RJyescode,
In order to modify the animation you need to select in the Hierarchy window the object that has the Animator component attached on it, when it’s showing in the Inspector window then it will be editable in the Animation window
To explain simply: when you press the Add Animation button it will add an empty animation to the selected Animator, in order words if you don’t select an Animator Unity can not know where to add the clip

if you open the Animation tab on the bottom of your screen you will be able to add an animation clip when your Nala is selected like this, to open the animation window you can go to the top menu > Windows > Animation > Animation
