Problem with animation

Hello :slight_smile:

I attached a walk animation take with motion builder onto an fbx character then import that in maya where the animation works.

I then imported that fbx into unity and in the inspector i changed it to animation and the walk take was applied.

When i drag my character into the scene the animation is completely gone.

Anyone knows why this is happening?:face_with_spiral_eyes:

Most common reasons are that you didn’t export it correctly or you didn’t set the rig in Unity but could be a dozen other reasons as well.

I’m having the same problem!!

Does anyone know anything more specific… the animation is apparent when adding it in unity in the inspector but when dragging to the scene… to control the character… they do not do any of the animation from the clip…

The take(walk cycle) is there… but not sure on what to do next with all of these different options, and when hitting apply and dragging into my scene there is no animation on the character.

Am i doing something wrong? What should i do about the several different options i get?

My guess is you haven’t bothered to set the rig properly.
