Hi all, this is my first post so… try to have patience with me!
I have a problem importing an animation made in 3D Studio Max to Unity. I created some animations to import as clips, but I worked at 25 fps (the PAL standard).
Importing them in Unity creates a set of 30 fps animation clips. Do you know how can I change the frame rate of the clips?
Do I have to do it when exporting from Max? I didn’t find the fps setting anywhere…
Up! Does anybody have the answer?
You should be able to retime/resample the motion to 30fps. One way would be to select the keys in the dope sheet or time curve editor and then scale them (e.g. a sequence that is 25 frames long should become 30 frames).
An easier method is to click the Time Configuration button in the bottom right corner of the screen near the navigation tools. You can change the frame rate which shifts the keyframes in the appropriate direction. Or you can click the Re-scale Time button in that same window.
Do a couple of tests to see if the timing is correct for NTSC playback.
Thanks Tibbar, but I already know that.
I wanted to know if Unity supports PAL. If not, why the Animation Clips have the fps property?
