I recently upgraded to client 11.0.16.8564, and now any recently cloned repository doesn’t let me do many operations, including the branch explorer, the update workspace button, switching branches, without throwing an error that says: “The server SERVERNAME doesn’t support sorting or pagination. Please upgrade the server”
The error only happens in newly cloned repositories; all the repositories I had cloned before work without problems. I also tested it on a colleague’s machine, with version 11.16.8420, and the same repositories works without problem.
Are there any breaking changes between these two versions that justify us avoiding upgrading? or is it something that can be sorted through configurations?
What is the server version used? Does the issue persist after you upgrade the server version as the pop-up suggested? what types of DB types are you using?
We are currently running 9.0.16.5315 with a Firebase backend, and I just sent via the support form some inquiries about migration, which are basically:
Is the license handled by the installer, or do we need to regenerate it for the newer version?
Is it ok to upgrade to 11 from 9? Or is it better to upgrade first to 10 and then to 11?
Can the migration to Jet be done per repo? We have several TB of data and many repos, so planning a staged upgrade will be better for us.
