Problem with Text

NOTE: this problem is solved.

I ran into this issue while doing the Roll-A-Ball tutorial. I can’t get text to appear anywhere on screen.

I’m using Unity 5.0.0f4 Personal and trying to use “Add Component > UI > Text” putting the text on the camera object. No matter how I align the text, change the color, or change the font size I can’t see any text on the screen.

I would appreciate any help, thanks in advance.
