Greetings,
I’m using the latest release of Unity Pro and I’m new to occlusion culling. I searched this site, but only found a tutorial using it with the iPhone. I followed the same general principles of creating the occlusion area and then expanded that over my entire level so to cover everything to the very edge of the boundary lines.
After doing so, I went to Window → Occlusion Culling and then under the Object tab, I made sure to quick select my Occlusion Area, set the target resolution to Very High.
Then under the Bake Tab, I set my bake quality to Production
and finally under Visualization I made sure to make my quick select the Main Camera from my first person controller.
Once I hit bake, it calculated for the next 17 hours and after all that time, I have NO CHANGES to the speed of my game. It’s still slow and not at all smooth. What have I not done correctly?
IIRC, the iPhone occlusion culling video is obsolete and refers to the OC that was in 2.x
