problems with the Caracter Customization Project

I have a problem with the Character customization project every time i try to open it… my monitor kind of screws… well all the colors go crazy and first it starts just affecting unity and then it affects everything like the task bar, other programs, etc.
 it looks freaking weird and scary… and it only happens with this file.

I don’t know if i explained my self, i’ll atatch a screen shot…

if you need more info just ask.

here’s the screenshot

Display drivers up to date? Had to ask.

Ok, well maybe I should call this a workaround as opposed to a fix.

I was having a similar problem on Windows 7
with a GTX 295 video card. This one particular
demo kept causing the video driver to crash and
my computer to blue screen/reboot, after
displaying artifacts like in your screenshot.
Only for this demo though.

I figured out that it was the mesh renderer
component in the “room” object which was causing
this to occur. If you recompile the demo in
unity editor, and disable the mesh renderer
for “room”, it no longer crashes on my system.
So something in the mesh or the shaders attached
to it is triggering a bug in the unity engine
or the nvidia driver.

(The downside is you don’t get to see the cool
background static artwork in the mesh, but it
doesn’t affect the functionality of the demo at all, it runs perfectly, just on a blue background). Of
course if you are going to use this in your project,
you will probably make your own background “room” asset anyways to replace the existing one.

Hope this helps, let me know if this works for you
too. By the way, my display drivers are the most
current there are from nvidia’s website , and I have
tried older and beta drivers too with the same issue.
