Somtimes if you try to insert any numbers or sliders in pro builder context menus (extrude, offset, collapse verticies and other) ProBuilder will just exit the operation and if you try to do anything with its context menus it will undo your progress 5-20 steps back and menu will be like this:
Sometimes it even breaks the mesh entirely and it is really annoying since it happens every 30-60 minutes and requiers restarting the unity
Hi @Ritbulau, thanks for reporting this. We’ve not encountered this while using the package on our end but we definitely want to get this fixed. Any chance you could share a recording of this happening or share the project with a PB mesh that’s prone to these issues? Any additional details on the steps to reproduce this would be great. Also, which PB version are you using and what’s your OS?
I am using lastest version of pro builder with lastest version of unity 6. My OS is base windows 10 with lastest updates. This happens in any project (as far as I know) and I am not really sure what am I doing that specific to trigger this issue, it can happen when I just boot my PC, open the project and try to use pro builder without anything unnecessary (just select edge/face/vert and use pro builder menu feature, offset element for example and try to change any checkbox or float/vector or drop-down option). My current project is quite big, so I will create a new one and try to reproduce the bug in it and sare it with you. Thanks for trying to help!
P.s. sorry for long response time, I just gave up after checking the report on second day
After some more testing I figured it out: pro builder is bad at working with not unpacked prefabs in scene. It causes extention to freeze on almost every action on meshes with more than 500 polygons and sometimes causes this strange bug. Unpacking prefabs fixes all the issues!
