Just updated ProBuilder and I’m surprised to find it still doesn’t play well with the new Prefab Mode. Whenever I try to create a new mesh (eg - New Shape->Cube) while in Prefab Mode it puts it in the outer scene rather than inside the prefab. Same thing happens on any kind of mesh creation operations including Detach Face, Boolean Tool, etc.
Anybody else experiencing this? Is this a known issue?
EDIT: I’m on Unity 2018.3f2 / ProBuilder 4.03
Hi! Yes, this is a known issue with PB + the new prefab system. There are some deeper changes (mesh storage) that are needed, so we decided to get PB 4 out and available first, then keep working forward on items like this. Sorry for the trouble!
Any updates on the timeline for this?
Hi! This is fixed in ProBuilder 4.1, which should be available very soon
Thanks for the fix!
While we’re at it, it’d be really nice if when you create a new mesh it put it in the scene hierarchy based on whatever is selected. Similar to how right clicking on a transform in Hierarchy and creating a new object parents it to that transform. Right now every time I create a new Probuilder mesh I have to scroll down to the bottom of my hierarchy and drag it up to where I want it.

Hey, that’s a great idea! I’ll make a ticket and explore this, seems like an easy add
Thanks!
