Procedural BOX Arc

Hi! I´m currently making a 2.5D platformer that plays around a sphere. Right now I am trying to make a procedural algorithm to adapt a box to the sphere arc. This is what I mean:

I have a couple of ideas of how to make it, but I wanted to know if you guys know a simple solution (an already existing code that I couldn´t find, perhaps).

That´s exactly what I want to do! I don´t think these guys will tell me how it´s done since they are selling it. I don´t have the money to buy it either…
