I’ve been messing with some procedural terrain generation algorithms recently, here’s a quick demo showing it in action:
For some reason a) IE 8 tells me you were trying to close the new tab that I opened your player in, and b) IE 8 then proceeded to crash (or rather closed your player)
Use FireFox.
anways, works fine here, good job.
Works fine here also (Firefox on a Mac). Looks like you’ve adapted the “Terrain Toolkit”? http://unity3d.com/support/resources/unity-extensions/terrain-toolkit
Works fine on here under firefox, looks pretty sweet
Very nice, the cliffs feel odd to it though. Too fast and almost too uniform. Beaches and water are superb. Erosion filter didn’t feel worth it after 20 passes, and there’s some top-down artifacts.
Aside from those it’s beautiful coast terrain.
This is likely because of one of the site-locking techniques I was messing with (as described in the Unite07 Developing Content for the Web presentation). I guess I’ll have to modify or remove that bit (supposed to stop it being displayed in a frame or popup window).
I wasn’t aware of that, so no. I guess I should have remembered it I guess from Summer of Code '09. My intention is to use the procedurally generated terrain with a custom terrain system, so it may not be relevant if the techniques there are tied to the terrain system.
Any plans to share / sell this?
