Profiler never works on Mac / iOS, No Support for Unity Pro customer

Whenever I try to run the Profiler on my Mac to look at an iOS build I get errors like this. The Profiler never loads. I’ve had “Build & Run” problems for years to be honest, I gave up and just Build, then manually load the project into XCode. :frowning:

I submitted a Bug ticket and got this reply from Frazer at Unity

To clarify we are Unity Support & we can help with any Licenses, ID Accounts, Organizations, Asset Store and other non-technical issues (Unity Customer Service: Technical Support & Training | Unity). Unfortunately, we are unable to help with any technical queries.
My advice would be to post the specific issue/question that you have on our Unity Community portal. A lot of people find this useful. Our community is made up of over 2 million users & developers. Many of whom use our Forums and Answers pages daily to solve any problems such as this:

Does Unity Pro really include No technical support any more? even though the price has gone up? :hushed:

The next time this happens, could you please file a bug report using the bug reporter in the editor via Help → Report a Bug Unity QA: Building quality with passion?

Hi Martin,

As I mentioned in my original post

“I submitted a Bug ticket and got this reply from Frazer at Unity”

and he said to me, and I quote

"My advice would be to post the specific issue/question that you have on our Unity Community portal."

Seems a little cyclic that Unity Support tell you to go to the Forums & you in the Forum tell me to go to Support. :frowning:

FYI - In 8 years of paying for Unity Pro the attached Profiler has never worked for me, as Build & Run on the Mac has never worked for me.

To clarify: you asked the support services, but that’s not the same as filing a bug. I’m sorry that this probably feels like a wild goose chase but I hope that the QA team might help to figure out the repro conditions with you, if you filed a bug. If you do and you ping me the issue ID, I can keep an eye on it too and alert the person working on fixing the connection.
