Profiler Option Greyed Out

Hey everyone, just wondering if someone can help me out / knows what’s wrong with my Unity installation.

I would like to use the profiler, but unfortunately when I go to open the window, the option is greyed out. I have a pro license for 3.X (although not android or iOS (Edit: Scratch that, I just checked my license number, and it lists for all three, so that should be fine)), and it lists as registered/activated in my install. So why isn’t the profiler showing up for me? Anyone know? I should be able to use it with a pro license, yeah?

Post the Unity->About or Help->About window screenshot. Maybe you’re not using your Pro serial.

If it was a Pro license then it would say “License type: Unity Pro”.

Then something is seriously wrong, because this is the license number I received from Unity upon purchasing it. :eyes: I’ll contact support.

Okay, I think I figured out what happened!

I had the Pro license installed on this computer for a while (I installed it years ago…), and then there was a promotion where anyone who had a 3.X license could get a free upgrade to include iOS and Android with the license.

I guess what I didn’t realize was that that inclusive, special license would downgrade my 3.X from Pro to free. So I effectively uninstalled/overwrote my previous license somehow? I’m trying to reinstall with the old Pro serial now, but of course I’m getting an error that I’ve used all my activations. Contacting support to hopefully get this sorted out and reinstalled with the correct Pro license.
