Greetings! I’m a general modeler/animator, with experience in the industry and with developing an indie game or two myself; what I’m seeking is a programmer skilled with action game mechanics for a multiplayer arena combat game. (Not a MOBA, I think I should specify.)
- This is intended to be a game involving both shooting and swordplay. Devil May Cry isn’t quite the exact best reference, but it’s close. (If you’ve ever heard of the games Gunz: The Duel or S4 League, it also takes inspiration from those games, as well as others such as Anarchy Reigns and certain Battle Royales.) The idea is smooth and fast combat with heavy impact. We have a temporary programmer currently on board that is skilled in this element and has a prior codebase to pull from, allowing us to focus on the artistic elements early. We have several models, test environments, and other such assets available. As this is intended to be simply a Proof Of Concept, what we’re mostly looking for is getting the basic mechanics fine-tuned and the multiplayer functional. As stated, we already have a jumping off point for mechanics which simply needs further work.

After the POC is done, we can discuss whether we worked well together, if the POC came out well, and if we want to continue on this path. Should we, then from there we can discuss payment plans and whatnot.
