Myself and a few friends of mine have been working on and are almost done with a game built in Unity, coded in Javascript, modeled in Blender, and textured in GIMP. So far the game has been completely free to create. Tell me what you think.
pretty cool stuff man, there is alot going on there that I like. Im sure some jerk will flame you but I think you and your friend did a good job especially as a first project
Games are never free to make, your time is probably the most precious commodity you will ever invest in to something, so don’t value it at 0 bucks …
That’s great , specially for indie people.
For your character, it’s great for non professionnal people indeed, but it would need some proportions tweaking. The arms should reach the legs more lower , they are too short. Same thing for the legs that are also too short compared to the body.
You could use some another program like MakeHuman to create your basic body shape, than use Retopolgy tools of Blender to make your low poly version.
This way you are sure to go with good proportions
Keep it up.
