Project Build crashing on OSX (Web player or Desktop)

When creating a build (Web Player or Desktop) on OSX, I get a crash which could be related having a scriptable object using Resources.Load when it is instantiated. This same project / builds and runs successfully on Windows 7 & 8.1 as well as in Unity 4.5 and Unity 5.0 on OSX. This crash only occurs in Unity 4.6 on OSX.

Case #660364 which includes the project to reproduce it.

This happens to me as well.

And I tried with latest patch also (4.6.1p2) to find that the web player can’t update itself:

“A newer version of Unity Web Player is required, but the auto-update download failed. Was trying to download http://webplayer.unity3d.com//autodownload_webplugin-3.x/UnityPlayer3.x.x-x86_64.bundle.zip

That url to update package is broken.

Any potential update on this?

I’m guessing nothing yet the bug hasn’t even made it through QA :frowning:

Just curious. How do you know phil? Is this something you can see somewhere within the bugtraq ?
Hope Unity can solve this quickly, or at least provide a workaround.

I know as i work for unity and get more information in the bugs themselves. I see that its still waiting for QA to process it.

OK, thank you. Hope they find out the reason for the crash.

Its more they verify it and make sure its not a duplicate of a bug we already have before passing it onto us devs. Saves us time (once and a while at least).
