Projectbrowser.repaint - waiting for UnityEditor.CoreModule.dll to finish executing


This is really frustrating, but back when PlasticSCM was brought online I ran into this error. An update managed to fix it. However, since yesterday it is back and any project I try to open connected to source control hangs indefinitely with the “Hold On” message panel and the repaint.

I had been working in my project all day with no issues. Even after restart, cleaning my system cache and registry with cCleaner, I am still not able to get it working.

If I launch a project that is not connected to source code, there are no issues and Unity works as expected.

I am running unity 2021.3.6f1 on Windows 11. Any suggestions? This is extremely frustrating because we are paying for a Pro subscription and Unity Support says they will get back to me in the next 15 days?! Completely unacceptable!

I am at a loss, but I have milestones I have to meet for a client by this coming Tuesday.

Open up the Plastic SCM app and then upgrade to the latest version:

Once I did that, I was able to open up my project without issues.
