I’m trying to make an effect where a circular texture radiates away from my player basically like the standard shadow asset, though I’m running into a weird issue that I can’t figure out.
A lot of people seem to have an issue where the texture repeats though properly radiates from the position it should, however in my case the projector does not put the texture where it should be, and it also stretches the cookie to fit the object’s UV.
On objects with a repeating texture such as my environments this leads to huge shadows randomly strewn about.
I also tested it with a basic plane primitive in the editor and it stretched the shadow to match the plane rather than placing the shadow on the edge of the plane as I had positioned it.
Any insight as to how to get this to work properly would be great or any alternate solutions as to how I can have a texture radiate from a position while following arbitrary geometry.
