Projects Screen Only Displays “Loading”

I run Unity 2017.30f3 on Windows 10 and no projects display on the initial screen, just “Loading”. If I pause Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 virus protection and launch Unity, then my project listing displays. However, if I then turn Kaspersky back on, my project often crashes when compiling the project.

Sometimes the editor log captures the crash, printing “Crash!!!” and listing the crash info. Sometimes it doesn’t and crashes when the project code starts executing. I can provide logs upon request.

I am using .Net 4.6 and have some custom dlls.

You likely would want to contact Kaspersky, we have no control over the behavior of that application. Does it lock files or block certain DLLs from loading?

Its very disappointing that you are not providing better support when your software doesn’t work with one of the most popular virus protection software applications on the planet. Can you provide me with a list of every file, dll and exe that Unity requires?

Sorry, I don’t quite follow. I’m not familiar with the product, I was simply asking if it locks files or similar. If so, many anti-virus applications allow you to make an exception list and/or add a executable and (automatically) it’s dependencies as excluded.
