I’ve setup the unity driven match making service and can create/join matches etc… this all works great. Now I would like to connect directly to the server and bypass the relay server when possible. Eventually I’ll add the full blown try direct first, then nat punch through then finally the relay server but for now im using some hardcoded ip address and ports on a local network.
If I setup the server to start using the match info then try to direct connect to that server the client connection fails which I suspect because the server is actually connected to the relay server and not is listening for connections.
If I start the server without the match info then I can connect directly however this does not seem like a good idea since ultimately I want the relay server to be used when necessary.
Lastly it seems the privateClientAddress is merely passed along with the MakeMatch and is not actually used internally and I am to make use of it myself - is this correct?
At any rate, some tips about how to set this up properly would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
