I received some emails asking me to run the sale on the asset store as well… this is a problem since the lest time I ran that people got confused about the price change… what might be possible to do is having a potential customer contact me in order to know what kind of asset he is interested in and give him a voucher of the same value for another asset he’d like to have once it’s possible to verify the invoice number (purchase made in June 2015)
This is a solution for up to 6 vouchers per asset or pack. Since it’s a max of 12 per asset per year and I’d be willing to run a sale for Christmas.
Unfortunately seem to be some errors on your store. e.g.
ANIMALS FULL PACK
price : 50% OFF!! $149.95 instead of $299.90 not the $50 you mentioned here. Seems to be all the animal packs. Did quick test on Animals packs and it did seem to have correct price at PayPal just the description is wrong.
I always find your store very awkward to use being one massive page with 100s of products and not easily known which single items are included in the multiple larger collection packs. Also seems can only buy 1 asset at a time rather than having a cart. This is why despite being very interested in some of your assets never bought one!
Why is it confusing? If you update asset description to say 50% off June sale where is any confusion. If it is sheer volume due to the masses of assets you have maybe just do the big collections you listed above on the Asset Store which guessing will be the best sellers. Also the offer to send out vouchers whilst great is potentially a huge gamble. What if I buy HEROIC FANTASY CREATURES FULL PACK volume 1 and send a request for volume 2 but you’ve run out of vouchers since posting?
Is it possible to add an item that offers everything on your store for say $500 (this is sale price at 50% off)? That way can just buy the 1 item and avoid fighting your store. Even if this option is then removed after the sale or left in at at normal price of $999.

Yes, it’s indeed light years away from being fancy with all the bells and whistles but it’s the only alternative I have to help developers with really low budget to have access to some cool deals like that twice a year…
As I said, it’s needed to send me a message before you purchase anything on the asset store to know if a voucher is available for the free asset you want. will see what’s possible to do with changing prices and description on the asset store…
I had once a sale like that on the asset store. People are seeing prices and icons first, not the description unfortunately. then they can see if you’re lucky the small key image. It’s only if they select your product that they can read the description… So people were browsing, seeing the icons or small images with an interesting price, and wen coming back to it some days later because they were not thinking it was a deal available on a certain period they were confused.
good news: All the major packs gathering several models are now 50 % OFF on the ASSET STORE from 06/04/2015 to 06/30/2015. All individual models will remain at normal price, sorry.

Hmm … the first Monster Boss and the Monster Boss Set are not available in this sale, right? Or am I overlooking them?

you’re right it won’t be available on the Asset Store sale since it’s a single model. If you were looking for it on PROTOFACTOR STORE, then, indeed it’s not been added yet.
Also since there are no second boss so far, the FANTASY BOSSES PACK has not been created yet. the high rez version the reaper model has been done though, but the development of the environmental packs took over. Once V1.25 of the environmental will be created ( cave entrances x3 or 4), we’ll finish the reaper boss. and create the early BOSS PACK vol1

@hopeful : thanks for your support so far then! here is a WIP of what will be coming after being done with the 1.25 Add-On of the Environmental Packs. Reaper high rez version is not totally done, my mistake… still need some few things to be done. but it gives a good overview of what it’s going to be be. Once this one would be done it will be possible to create the FANTASY BOSSES PACK vol1.

Thanks for the updates and hopefully the sale on Asset Store will help for those not reading the forum.
As considering the very large packs probably get them from your store as slightly cheaper. Definitely getting the Boss pack once it becomes available as made mistake of not getting previous creatures pack in early stages.

Thanks for the kind words. No, sorry. If you purchase something from PROTOFACTOR STORE you’ll only have access to the content on our website. So if you plan on having all your assets in one spot I would recommend to purchase from the asset store.
Ok no worries. I don’t mean to seem cheap but I’ll get it from you direct as I’m just a hobby coder that will probably never actually end up using them in anything released outside my group of friends
Just to confirm, do the packs on your store come distributed with the license terms?
