Provide option to select object in Inspector when "pinging" it

There are a variety of ways to “ping” an object, either in the scene or the project view. This causes the object to be highlighted, and a little animation triggers on the object so you can see it. However, what it doesn’t do is actually select the object in the Inspector.

Maybe it’s just me, but pretty much 100% of the time that I want to ping the object, I want to select it in the inspector too. Right now that means I need to click twice. I’d like to see an option to have pinging also trigger selection in the Inspector.

Usually anything that would ping it, such as clicking an object field, double clicking it will select in the inspector.
