PSA: Unity will remove access to all of your assets if you dispute any of their practices.

Buyer beware. I recommend buying assets via a separate account not related to any subscriptions. If they wrongly charge you and you issue a chargeback via your credit card provider, they will block you without question. For me, it seems I will be out thousands in assets and forced to use a new account now that I have a need for Unity again.

Suggestion to Unity

Do not block customer access to third-party assets for first-party disputes. Allow users to login and not resubscribe, but blocking access to content that has been paid for in-full is borderline criminal.

Sounds like something to be taking up with support. There’s no reason for an actual discussion here though, since this forum is only for development. But still, it’s feedback so I won’t delete it.

BTW opening another thread for the exact same topic if locked by a mod is actually against the rules, so don’t be tempted to do that.
