Psave Pseudoburger

Psave Pseudoburger is a point-and-click adventure game about a failing multinational hamburger company.

Most Recent Update/s:

So I decided to make a point-and-click adventure game using Unity and Playmaker. I’ll be posting regular updates (usually videos, but eventually playable demos) here as I progress.

If anyone has any questions, criticisms or other feedback feel free.

If you want to see more there are a few more videos on my youtube channel.

Cool stuff, the character looks great. Keep posting!

Not to much to see but the chara style is great.

Some more info…?

Sure thing.

The Premise
Pseudoburger is a formerly successful international fast-food franchise fallen on hard times.

You play as a senior employee of Pseudoburger, having been recently promoted to a position so obscure that no one in the company actually knows what your responsibilities are.

Consequently, it falls to you to solve the company’s problems and restore Pseudoburger to its previous status as the unrivaled king of bargain-priced factory-processed burgers.

The Mechanics
The gameplay in Psave Pseudoburger is going to be a fairly classic adventure game setup. You go from scene to scene completing logical puzzles by interacting with the environment and using items from your inventory. I have a few interesting ideas on how I might spice this formula up a bit, but nothing that deviates too far from the classic template.

The Tools
I’m using Unity (obviously) along with Playmaker, as well as Blender, GIMP and Sculptris.

I’ve decided to alter the navigation system.

Looks good and make me remember when I made Tony Tough 2 and other p&c adv - good times :).

is there some kind of pathfinding to avoid obstacles or is it just a linear movement?
Want to see more

Right now it’s just linear, but I plan on implementing a pathfinding system after I have the other fundamental features in place. Tony Tough 2 looks really cool by the way.

the walk cycle looks pretty good. Are you planning to release this for iOS/Android? I’m just asking in case if the controls with work with touch screen and all…

Right now I only plan to release for the PC.

I’ve completed the inventory system now. The dialogue system is likely next.

All the basic elements of an adventure game are now in place. I’ve just got to create the content and polish things. (Also I’ll need pathfinding but I’ll worry about that later)

Seems like you have a really solid foundation going for this game. Interested to see where it goes.

This game is really good, speaking about the fact that you have dialogs, good point n’ click-system and you have some good humor in it too!

Nice to see that your adv engine becomes richer every post.

Thanks guys!

Feature update:

Looks great. (post a comment on youtube + thumb up -_^ )

Yeah this looks fantastic. I love how you’re updating with youtube videos and inserted the text to let us know what you were working on. Much appreciated. This is just the sort of game I really enjoy playing.

Have you completely written a story for it yet or is that still work in progress?

Thanks for the interest!

The game is going to consist of four main parts that can be played in any order, a kind of hub that you return to between each part, an opening sequence and a closing sequence. So far I’ve only completely fleshed out one of the four chapters and the opening sequence, but I have the fundamental ideas for the unwritten parts. Additionally, I have a plan to tie the resolution of the four parts together during the ending sequence will (hopefully) provide for an interesting ending.

This is very promising. And I love your character  keep it on please !
