I know sonny opened up the Vita to indie devs a while back to start developing games in the Beta version of the SDK , any word on if Unity will get support for the Vita
Not that this is a big deal since the Vita looks like its already dead.

It already has support for the Vita. One of the release titles was made in Unity.
Sony Santa Monica had to help with the port though . Not exactly supported as their isn’t a Unity to Vita build pipeline yet .
Exactly, my thoughts
It doesn’t say there isn’t a pipeline. It says there wasn’t when Escape Plan was ported. It also says that they’ve “ported the Unity Engine to PS Vita”. I don’t think it’s ever going to pop up in the Unity Store like iOS and Android, if that’s what you mean. You’re always going to need to be a Sony licensed developer. Much like you can use XNA to develop for XBLIG but you have to be an authorised XBLA developer to release a Unity game on XBox Live.
That’s a similar system to XNA, though, which Unity seem to have chosen not to support. I’m also told that it restricts the available hardware to well under a Vita’s full specs.
I a.o. played around with monkey ( @ http://www.monkeycoder.co.nz/ ) and the Vita a bit.
