Public Key - Do I need it to test an application?

Hi,

I just built a test application and would like to test it in my phone.

I use Lynda Manager (if I recall correctly) to install the application. The weird thing is that when it should be installed, it returns a message saying : “The application has not been installed”, therefore I can’t get access to it.

So… I was wondering… do I need to set up a Public Key in Player Settings, if so, how do I get it? (I actually got an Android license)

No, you don’t need.
I don’t know what is Lynda Manager. Have you tried to connect the phone via USB and hit File → Build Run?

Nope. I haven’t done that.
Linda Manager is a tool which serves as an explorer, and lets you install .apk

As it wasn’t working, I searched around the web, and I found something:
I downloaded an app called Zip Signer 2, which receives an input .apk, and delivers a signed .apk as output.
I tried to install the new signed .apk, and to my surprise, it’s working!

Which leads me to think that I’ve been doing something wrong.
