Publishing games.

Say i made a really cool game, using models i made in maya student editon, and i bought a pro liscence for unity, and then attempt to market this on steam or whatever. Will i have to purchase maya also?

I really can’t afford it and i HATE blender, mostly because i cant find any good tutorials for it.

Can anybody answer my first question and also if you know please link me to good blender tutorials

If you say you used blender. Could anyone notice anyways?

Maya student edition is used for personal use only. You are not allowed to use the student edition for any commercial purpose. And if you can’t support Maya, use Blender.

Here is a tutorial for blender. I find it very useful.

there are tons of blender tutorials out there.
they are everywhere…
my favorite is this guy http://cgcookie.com/blender/2010/06/21/series-creating-a-stylized-dragon-part-2/

he also has many tutorials on youtube.

i must admit that it takes its time to get arround blender, but its totally worth it.

cheers

As i know, everything you create with a PLE-version cannot be used commercially even if you own a commercial licence.

And this is common for any company and its personal-learning-editions, except Adobe.
