Is there much interest in getting your game published with low fees and you retain the rights?
I plan on doing this for indie devs only but I wish to get some feedback first

I suppose that would depend on the platform.
It would be PC/MAC only. Consoles are to much to license for a start-up
In that case, it would probably depend on the publisher, their marketing expertise, and other options, wouldn’t it? My point is that of course people are interested in making more money, but it depends on the costs associated with making that money.
When publishing you will not be bound by an agreement that we hold the sole publishing rights. If you are bound to one publisher you will not get much exposure. Similar to another publisher who does the same thing but has more strict requirements. I guess you could say we will take the ones who do not get a publisher. There is of course the occasional game that frankly just can’t be accepted by anyone. One of those games I played and it was awful. I give anyone kudos who gets a game published but when they are full of bugs then they should not be published.
We are looking at 10%-15% of each sale
There we go, you’re getting to the point. 10-15% is not a bad cut, what are the outlets you intend to use?
We will be using MSN, Google, and Yahoo PPC. We are in talks now with three game sites to place ads. The main avenue will be the PPC programs. Focus will be on downloadable content but the option of having a CD/DVD will be available in the future.
I’m not sure I understand your response here, you’ll be generating revenue from advertisement, for downloadable games? Or, are these the marketing elements of your business, with a paid-for electronic download portal?
Cheers,
Galen
We will be using them as places to advertise the games that we publish for you as well as the portal. We will not just advertise the portal but we will be advertising the game itself.
