PUN Tutorial interest?

Hey guys…

I see a lot of questions regarding PUN on these forums, and thought that their might be an interest in a comprehensive tutorial for beginners?

Would contain detailed pdf and videos explaining how a showcase-game is setup and explain all the basics needed for a PUN multiplayer game. And would of cause contain all the code, well commented, for the show-case game.

Would people be willing to pay a few bucks via the asset store (like 10$ or so) for such a tutorial?

(As i worked both with PUN and Photon Server it could be extended later with a tutorial on Photon Server if it is a success.)

I think that it would be a great idea but with Exit games releasing their own tutorials on the Asset Store and them both being low quality I think that you would have to give a sample of the tutorials on Youtube for people to buy the rest.

All videos would be available for free on Youtube of cause. They will however at times reference some lines of codes in the project.

But people would be able to get an idea of how the tutorial is and and will hopefully get an understanding of the different concepts i will go through like smooth movement and such.

Now with these code snippets, are they going to be setup like Lynda.com where you can actually read over all the code you are writing in the videos or is it going to be just parts of it to get people to buy the project files? Either way is fine to me as long as the quality is good. I don’t mind spending money on project files if they are great quality and I can learn from them.

I think a lot of people might be interested in PUN tutorials for mobile games.
I want to make ios game with Photon and couldn’t find such lessons.
I would pay for that.

I wouldn’t think that it would respond any differently would it? It still connects to the cloud the same way and all other calls are just JavaScript or C#. I can’t see how a standard PUN tutorial wouldn’t cover most platforms. I haven’t looked into it so I could just be talking out of my @$$. Who knows…

I found just pun tutorials use standard FPS from the asset store.
and that tutorial codes don’t work with mobile FPS from the asset store…
for example: I don’t know how to stick the joystick to the player

I believe that it is possible… and may even be easy for someone… but no such information in tutorials:(
