purchase ability to edit splashscreen

I’m not sure if I should be posting in this section for a question like this.

I have noticed that to change the splash screen of your game in unity for android application, you need to purchase unity pro.
I’m a beginning developer so I can’t find any purpose for all the extra features you get from unity pro. Is there any way I can make a single purchase so I can create a custom splash screen?
Paying $95 / month just to do this seems a tad much

Greetings, mick

No you cant. Sorry. And it’s unity pro + android pro I believe you need to purchase for a full year if you do the subscription.

Ah to bad. Hard to promote my new company, because I think it will be unclear for users to understand who developed the game. Anyway thanks for your reply!

Add your own splash screen to it. Simple.
I have done it for mine. Isn’t that hard and to be honest, no one gives a crap about a splash screen as l9ng as the game play and mechanics and everything else is up to snuff.
When you play a game do you watch the splash screens or click as quickly through to play?
What would your players do for your game?

Yes I guess you’re right, seems like the best option to go with. Still having a unique splash screen for your company creates some brand awareness.

cant you just make a UI element, or image, seperate scene, whatever that pops up before the menu screen or something?

Have the logo embedded in your UI the first time they open it & fade it with shaders, transparencies or something?

Awesome ideas guys. Gives us and the OP plenty of options of what to do.

Yes. You can buy pro outright for 1500, plus you will want android pro for another 1500.

If that’s too expensive for you, and the Unity splash screen is a deal breaker, then you’ll need to explore competing game engines.

It’s not a problem to show your splash after Untiy’s. I think most people realise Unity is a game engine (or don’t care - I mean so many games have endless splash at the start).

splash screen 1 : “Powered by Unity”
splash screen 2 : “Or was it?”
Confusion?
Profit.

I miss the old splash screen

Seeing the Unreal Engine splash screen makes people excited.
Seeing the Unity splash screen has the opposite effect.

Sad but true.

Looks like one of those discussions I should have locked and not replied to. It gets locked now so we don’t continue over the same old ground. If you don’t like it, there are options.
