I had a quick question, I couldn’t find the answer in the stickies…
If I buy an asset from the Asset Store, do I then own the asset and it is removed from the store or can more people purchase the same one?
Thanks guys!:

im not a lawyer, so it is best to contact unity sales
but in general the way i understand it
if you aquire an asset from the asset store you dont outright own it.
it is a limited nonexclusive license you are acquiring from the valid copyright holder for limited use subject to the terms and conditions of the license.
the asset continues to be owned by the copyright holder.
and they can continue to license the asset to others as they please.
so basically its like going to steam and subscribing to a video game
so sure others can continue to purchase it…
but keep in mind its a limited license subject to the terms and conditions of the license.
since sales are final no refunds of any kind before licensing something and throwing your money away become familiar and make sure you fully understand the license and that it meets your needs and that is is something you can live with.
violating that license is very severe, copyright infringement or worse. so dont make a mistake it can end up being very costly…
basically you can use assets you license at the unity store it in your unity based game. you cant let others use them directly. they have to be bundled and sealed in the unity generated asset files. you cant give out the original package file.
from my understanding you cannot like export the asset and use it with other game engines or for other purposes. so its just within unity.
same is like for steam if you subscribe for a game you can use it with steam but you cant like then go and use it with ubi play or ea. that would require a different license…
if its an editor addon only you can use it in your unity editor and not others that may work with you. its per seat/account license. so 2 people 2 license.
again im not lawyer or export. it is best to talk to unity sales they im sure will be happy to answer all your quiestions.
i think they can be found at sales@unity3d.com but go to homepage of unity3d.com and make sure.
