Stunt Car Racer

Could be used as track creator =)

Can I place objects along the path?

No unfortunately not, and by objects what do you mean like other meshes??

yes… like gameObjects…

Unfortunately not, but a good suggestion and i will defiantly add that and update this post when i have =)

I purchased [PX] PathGenerator yesterday and found a couple showstopper bugs that make it pretty much unusable for me:

  • The included “PathGen MeshShader” does not work with lights or lightmaps.

  • Thought I could easily fix that by applying a custom shader… but nope, half of the generated mesh’s normals are pointing in the wrong direction!

  • The path does not actually follow the terrain: Only at the marker points does the generated mesh meet the terrain – probably great for bridges but hardly useful when you need a path that actually sits on the terrain, as paths generally tend to do. Raising the terrain to the path results in ugly artifacts and is not what I want.

  • The generated Mesh’s pivot point is nowhere near the actual object.

Sorry, but this tool is not ready for prime time in its current state IMO.

Just purchased this, made a couple paths, but not I get a repeating error and can’t add new Path Points (nothing happens when I click that button). Is this fixable?

Shader wants tangents, but the mesh doesn’t have them
UnityEditor.DockArea:OnGUI()

I bought this the other day and have had a few issues, nothing’s really broken, but I have a few questions.

Is it possible to make the path snap to the existing terrain? It’s cool that it raises the terrain and such, but, I cant ever seem to get it work on existing hills on my terrain.

Another question is with the mesh it generates, is it possible to generate a whole mesh instead of the triangles that get covered up by the material shader. It’s really a huge issue and if you want colliders I can’t use Unity’s NavMesh with it which presents a bit of a problem.

Really? Still no reply/support? What a joke. I suggest everyone avoids this tool. It’s a piece of garbage and the creator ignores you. Save your $5 and don’t put any money in this guy’s pocket.

欧冠网投买球|中国体育有限公司 << same tool, looks like popper just changed the source code a bit and released it on the asset store for $5

Cheer for that but been busy XD

As for Snapping to terrain, dont think so but will be more then happy to work on it to get it to do so, since theres a couple of new features i would like to add to it myself, as for changing the source code, haven’t heard of that tool before XD

So, what do you mean when you say “Snap to terrain”?
and as for generating a whole mesh, it should do this anyway if using the mesh option.

can you answer my question too?

Ill run through the process now and try and recreate =)

@gecko can you run me through what your doing step by step, i just checked and its working fine =(
