Quaternion slerp behaviour coming to AnimationCurves?

Hi,

our project critically depends on self constructed animation curves, which animate orientations. Therefore I’d be eager to hear if the Slerp style interpolation is indeed coming available in 2.6. for orientations in the AnimationCurves interface? There were some rumors into this directions, but nothing really definitive?

Currently the shortest path for rotations is not always selected, which leads to funny rotations in some animations.

Regards,
JR

Send an e-mail to support (support@unity3d.com) about this - it isn’t likely that they would want to make public any info about forthcoming versions, but they might be able to help you with the issue.

Thanks for your input andeee. However I asked this from the support 10/06/09 and has not been answered.

Regarding the issue about future features not being revealed beforehand: In this case I feel it is more border lining to a bug than a truly new feature as rotations can behave unexpectedly with the current state of things.

Best regards,
JR
