Can the Quest 2 or 3 be setup and usable without the use of a mobile phone? I do not need to download “games” or the use hand controls. Just a simple setup with the use of a link cable or similar to PC.
Perfectly good ethernet connection. Perfectly good computer.
No mobile phone.
I know, its dumb. You used to also be able to use MQDH, but im not sure if that still works to bypass mobile setup.
You should be able to download the app in an Android emulator like Bluestacks or whatever on your PC and do it through that.

I have been a user of the DK1, DK2 and CV1. Still on the CV1 as I don’t have the necessary mobile phone to set up more recent quest goggles.
Just wish the setup on the quest series was as simple as the CV1.
