Hello,
I am building a something similar to 3D virtual tours for my users and i use models that I bought from unity store.
The users receives from me only the APK file and not the source files. (just 1 APK file).
Am I allowed to do this legally if i use models from the unity store? I have a Unity Plus license.
Usually the client tells me how to design and I design and send the APK file to him, Instead I built a system that the user can design the 3D world for himself. can I legally add a button that the user clicks on it the 3D world data sent to me and then I save it as an APK file and send the APK back? (on my PC with Unity Plus license)
If this is not the right place to ask, where can i ask it?
as long as you or your application don’t provide the source files to the users and/or you or your application don’t export out the models other than binary format which cannot be opened in other applications, you’re good (except when the asset’s description says otherwise), asset store assets have commercial license, but please read the license it describes everything
Since you’re not sending source files, all you have to avoid is the very small number of assets on the store which state they are not for commercial use. Everything else (99+%?) is fair game.
