So, I’m doing the 2D Beginner tutorial “Ruby’s Adventure”. And I have no option for “Create>Tile”.
I have all the packages I need, so I’m wondering if it’s just due to it not being a feature anymore? And I have asked in the tutorial thread, but it doesn’t get much attention so I’m asking here.
Tilemap is certainly still a feature so it should appear in your Create list. Can you confirm that you have the 2D Tilemap Editor package in the project (because this behavior sounds like what happens when the package isn’t installed)? The 2D Tilemap Editor package should show up when you look at Package Manager > Packages in Project.
I got it to work after a bit, I changed the version of Unity I was running from 2020.2 to 2020.1 and it solved the issue.
Ah, glad you were able to solve the problem. Looking a bit deeper, it seems like the tutorial needs to be updated a bit for 2020.2 as the 2D Menu for Create has been reorganized a bit.
