Questions about Unity free

Hello
I’m using free version of Unity and I have several questions:

  1. To update to te Pro version from free Unity, do I need to buy the full version of Unity Pro or can I update to the Pro version?

  2. With Unity free version, can I sell my videogames without buying a license for Unity, or I need to buy?

Thanks!

  1. To upgrade to Pro you must buy the Upgrade. This will give you a new license key that will enable the Pro features.
The trial of pro that you can activate from within the normal now free Unity is a 30 day trial only

  2. The free Unity is a valid license for commercial development. Its just free

To clarify, when you download Unity you already have the Pro version. Buying a Pro license simply unlocks the relevant features.

Alright, now I have a question.

is there a comparison sheet that says what the pro one has that the indie one does not have?

For example, I thought only pro had shaders, yet I looked in my material options and I see them all there. I do’t want to get myself excited about something I may not actually have (or that will just turn off after a certain time period). When I look in the unity features, it just says “shaders” ot “for pro only” unlike some of the server things that I see “pro only” for.

Qestion in short, does unity indie have shader support?

yes Unity has full shader support.
You just have no Render Textures without owning Unity Pro thus no PostFX, Reflection, Refraction

In addition movie and shadows are pro only too

You wouldn’t be able to do much without shaders…

So, can I update my free version of Unity to Unity Pro, or I need buying the full license of 1099€?

You need to buy the full license. The upgrade price is only for people who had previously purchased Unity Indie for $199.
