Questions for Unity3D

I have some questions for my favourite game engine:

1.Where can I find tutorials for modelling a hand and a pistol for FPS games and for making reload, shoot, aiming down animations in 3DS Max?Please give me some links.

2.I often hear that there are a lot Unity3D tutorials for making simple games but I can’t find any of them. Please give some links for these tutorials.

3.When I finish a game how can I publish it in the Unity Gallery?

4.Do anyone of you know when Unity3D 4.3 is coming and if there will be native Linux support (For creation,NOT for deployment)?

Please forgive me for my English and answer as many questions as you can.

The Unity Gallery is curated by Unity’s marketing team - once your game is published elsewhere, you can contact them and ask if you can be included.

4.3 has no public release date yet. It will not include Linux Editor support.

Here you go. Tons. http://bit.ly/1ccZnrB

Start with the Learn section on Unity, then go looking for the other tutorials. Youtube has tons, Tornado Twins has some good stuff.

Thanks but I still can’t find animation tutorials.

3DS Max Animation Tutorials

Google is your friend.

I think guys that you didn’t understand.I want to make animations for FPS game and I can’t find tutorials about modelling a hand with the arm like FPS games have and making animations for reload, fire, throw grenades etc.

Maybe ask on a 3DS Max forum? This is a forum about Unity, so most people will assume when you come here asking for tutorials that you specifically mean Unity related tutorials. However, were the links that @DanielQuick and @inafield provided not suitable for you? They all looked to me to be 3DSMax and animation related. Saying “you didn’t understand” comes across as rude, and means it’s less likely people will bother trying to help you if you just put them down.

Sorry,if I said something annoying. Thanks for the help and sorry again…

Modelling is modelling is modelling, and animation is animation is animation. Any modelling tutorial should teach you how to model, what you model doesn’t matter. Same with animation. The “how” is more important than the “what”.

  1. Google for Blender/Unity tutorials, there are tons

  2. Check out the Lerpz tutorial. It has a step-by-step PDF for setting up the game, they provide the assets.

  3. Not sure about this question

  4. There are no plans in the forseeable future for Unity to have a Linux editor.

For number 3. Unity selects those and they do so on technical merit or popularity. A request to be in the gallery won’t do it.
